Mad Men

Every Sunday this late summer/early Fall I've tutored from 4-8, ate dinner, and tuned into Mad Men. It's something I look forward to every Sunday, and with the season finale tonight, I guess I have to find another show to follow for awhile until Season 4 begins. I really enjoyed this season, and considering how this season ended, I think we're in for a good season 4.

Sweet little bows

Bows usually catch my eye. When I was in junior high I liked to pull my hair back in a low ponytail and tie a bow in my hair with simple black ribbon.

Thao with the Get Down Stay Down

Love the fun, quirky music of Thao with the Get Down Stay Down. This year they have a new album- "Know Better Learn Faster" which I'm just getting acquainted with.
I like this catchy song, "When We Swam"

Think Vintage

Lately I've been really impressed with all the vintage clothing being sold on Etsy. I'm always a little wary with sizes, but I just might have to purchase a piece one of these days.

1. Crimson black print party mini 1960s from Brown Bag Vintage
2. 1960s Goldenrod Tapestry Clutch from Dear Golden Vintage
3.1960s Brown Ribbed Wool Jacket from Kennedy Holmes

Closet Envy

How amazing would it be to have a closet like one of these? Or a wardrobe like one of these? I would love to have shelf space for my shoes and purses. Those are always things I can't find adequate storage space for. Having all your clothes organized and clearly visible would make dressing in the morning so much easier!

Sun and Leaves

Well, after a solid week of rain, the sun emerged this weekend. I was able to spend some time outside enjoying the last bit of pretty leaves on the trees. Saturday my mom and I explored Pere Marquette Lodge and some of the surrounding property. The weather was chilly, but tolerable walking weather. We had a pretty view of the Mississippi River and the bluffs.
This week I:
-enjoyed a nice lunch with my Grandma at a local sandwich shop
-started applying to more jobs-feeling motivated again!
-watched a scary movie with my friend, Kati, and her brother Dustin
-tutored quite a bit
-ate lots of candy-Junior Mints and Reeses Peanut Butter Cups!
-took a nice scenic ride to the Grafton Area, and had a short visit at the Pere Marquette Lodge
-ate delicious banana pancakes for breakfast today
