4th of July Fun
This year on the 4th of July I went to the Muny with friends to see Nunsense. Since we didn't get to see fireworks on the 4th, we went to the JB Blast in St. Louis on July 5th to get our fireworks fix. It was a fun couple of days with friends.

There was live music (very far away) but we could still hear it from where we were sitting.
The fireworks show was impressive!

Fireworks Fun
Last Tuesday (a couple days before the 4th) I got together with friends for an early 4th of July celebration. I went to my friend, Kati's mom's house for pizza and fireworks. We also squeezed in a viewing of SYTCD. :-)
Kati and Nick bought sparklers, roman candles, and several other fireworks. They even bought a few large fireworks which were quite a surprise during the finale! A few neighbors were grouchy about the noise, but most people enjoyed watching the fireworks too.
And a few videos of silly fireworks fun:

Valentine's Day
Thinking pink and red clothes today, as cliche as it is.

Happy Valentine's Day to everyone!

Tis the season

The holidays are officially here!
Plans so far:
-Begin putting Christmas decorations up tomorrow
-Pulling out the Christmas DVDs and music
-Going to see St. Louis Ballet's production of The Nutcracker mid December
-Cookie baking day with my friend Kati close to Christmas
And I'm actually not minding the sudden drop in temperature this week. I'm happy to pull out the winter coats, scarves, and gloves. It's a welcome change.

Happy Valentine's Day
I hope everyone has had a wonderful Valentine's Day! No romance here, but I will be spending my evening watching movies on Lifetime-Pretty Woman, Where the Heart Is, and Jane Austen Book Club-should be a pretty good movie night. :-) Oh, and of course eating a little chocolate. The snow is falling outside, so it will be nice to be cozy in blankets indoors. This week has been very difficult for me, but my tears have been a little less the past few days. I miss our dog Elliot so much-he was so special to me and made such an impact on my life in my five years of knowing him. It's still hard to talk about him, but I know with time it will be easier.

Elf

Had to run to Target today for some printer paper, and of course I always get a little sidetracked. :-p. I ended up looking through the holiday movie sections and saw Elf for $9. I guess kind of a typical price, but I couldn't pass it up. I needed another movie to add to my holiday collection. Looking forward to watching it soon and I'm planning on a Christmas movie marathon a weekend closer to Christmas. :-)

Happy Halloween

Hope everyone has a fun Halloween evening! I'll be watching scary movies and eating a little (or a lot) of candy. :-)
