Summer Fun

I've had a great time with friends and family this summer.

Kati and I spent Memorial Day Weekend in Kansas City:

4th of July was spent at Fair St. Louis, a tradition for the past 4 years:

I spent quite a few weekends at Lake of the Ozarks:

And now summer is coming to an end....
Usually with the cooler weather I spend more time at home, but I'm hoping to plan some more weekend getaways this Fall. Hopefully I will remember to take more pictures as well!

Beautiful Decks

In the summertime I love to spend as much time as I can outdoors. We have a pretty basic deck area (with a great view of the woods), but it is lacking a little something. I would love if we could give it a little makeover and make it a better place for entertaining and hanging out.
These are some "after" deck makeovers on Better Homes and Gardens that I'm loving. The big theme that I'm seeing besides pretty flowers/plants is a pop of color with your lawn furniture. I'm loving all of these colors-orange, blue, and green.

Lake of the Ozarks

Last weekend I took a trip to Lake of the Ozarks with my family. We had a quiet weekend at the lake, with sunshine, great temps, good food, and great company. I can't wait to get back there!




 

 

 

The Hunger Games

Well, just as with Twilight, I have jumped into the newest craze-The Hunger Games. I'm about half way through the book and l'm looking forward to seeing the movie soon.

I think I might pass on opening night and opt for a weekend matinee?

Amazing Thailand Villa

I'm just staring at these photos imagining myself spending a day here. A glorious Saturday: swimming, reading, listening to music, sipping a margarita or two. How amazing does this look?
