Super cute terrarium

I love this terrarium that my stepbrother's girlfriend made! How super cute are those little mice? And the sweet fortune cookie message? So cute, so sweet.

Definitely wanting to make some terrariums for my next place. Right now space is very limited, since I'm back to living at home with my mom, so my terrariums will have to wait.

100th Post!

Looks like I'll be sticking with Blogger for awhile! Didn't know if I could keep up with another blog, but it's fun to have another space to post at. Made it to 100 posts and hopefully there will be many more! I love being part of this fun blogosphere.

Pretty Sunday

Oh it's a beautiful day! I plan on doing some cardio today-running outside since it's so nice. I think I will also do some reading outdoors, because it is far too beautiful to sit inside. I do not work until 5, so I have a good chunk of the day to do as I please.

This week I:
-decided it was time to start eating healthier and working out (this will be challenging for me!)
-applied for another part time job
-saw a fun movie with a good friend
-did a lot of tutoring
-went out to eat with my mom and Carl for a tasty dinner
-welcomed Fall with open arms!

Next week I want to:
-spend more time outdoors (if it's not raining)!
-apply to a couple more school districts for subbing positions
-visit my grandma
-start a dream journal

and of course have some fun!

Autumn is here! My favorite time of year! Yay for cooler days, bonfires, pumpkins, Halloween, and Thanksgiving! So many things to look forward to in the coming months! :-)

Back to studying

Since my job right now is tutoring I find myself doing more studying at home again. Not nearly as much studying as in my college days though! This week I am spending my spare time brushing up on some Physics (not my favorite subject). I'm also planning on spending more time putting some lesson plans together.
Here are some pretty study spaces that caught my eye. When I study I like rooms with good lighting-too dim and I get sleepy. Also, I like a large desk or table so I can spread out all my work.

Rainy Sunday

I love rainy Sundays. I think the earth is clean and renewed for a start of a new week and it gives you some time to just slow down. I love watching movies on Sunday so this afternoon I'm viewing "Man in the Moon." I work tonight, so I'm getting my relaxation in early.

This week was a nice week.
-spent some time with family when I tutored my cousin on Monday
-getting more of the swing of the things at work, almost ready to tutor on my own
-spent a beautiful day outdoors doing some of my work training-gorgeous late summer weather!
-did some book store browsing with my mom and ran into my aunt and uncle, which was a nice surprise-we ended up talking for about half an hour!
-ate delicious blueberry muffins this Sunday morning with my mom and Carl

Sex and the City

In the evening when Sex and the City reruns come on, I'm instantly put in a good mood. It's the familiarity of the show and characters I think. Definitely a guilty pleasure. I must admit, I enjoyed the movie as well, and am excited about seeing the sequel. :-)

Positano

After seeing Joanna from A Cup of Jo's honeymoon pics I had to look up more photos of this beautiful town, Positano, Italy. Joanna and her husband spent 2 weeks in Italy and Greece for their honeymoon and I must say it looks like a dream vacation! Here are some pics from Villa La Madonnina's website.

Cabin fever

It's another beautiful weekend, probably one of the last warm weather weekends of the season, and I've been enjoying it from indoors. I have things to get done, so I didn't make many plans, but for some reason I haven't been able to get much done. Hopefully tonight I will be more productive.

This week I:
-tutored twice at Sylvan Learning Center and have started my training
-worked on and I'm still working on my Sylvan courses to get my certification
-spent quality time with Mr. Elliot (puppy)
-got to visit with Ms. Boston (puppy) again
-enjoyed some delicious homemade peach cobbler and apple pie
-had a pizza and movie night with my friend Kati

I have a busy week of tutoring and Sylvan training ahead and I'm planning on getting back to the gym. Maybe I'll be able to squeeze in a night out to the movie theater. :-)

"We're not married!"

Watched the 1952 comedy, "We're not married" last night and really enjoyed it. Some big names in the movie include Marilyn Monroe and Ginger Rogers. There are five separate stories in the movie, and in each story a wedded couple finds out they are not legally married. It's definitely a fun, light-hearted movie, which is exactly what I was in the mood for.

I've never been one to gravitate toward the princess type dresses for myself, but when I spotted these photos I couldn't help but love them (just watched that Sex and the City episode with that dress last night).

Bright Star

Wanting to see this film! Bright Star is based on the last three years of the life of poet John Keats. The movie looks so visually beautiful, and romantic. I remember as a young girl finding poetry books in the basement of my great grandparents house, including the works of Keats. I also have such a love of movies set in the early 19th century.
